We at Power of Progress understand how difficult it is to make it to the gym after
a long day at work and dealing with Vancouver traffic.
We understand the day of a working mom, and a stay at home
mom. We also know how many people out there are wanting
to rid themselves of those 5 to 10 pounds that have managed to
settle themselves oh so nicely in areas we give such adorable
names to as "love handles" or "muffin top".
We understand that you have busy schedules, which is why we
provide you with the opportunity of choosing your workout
times. We will do our best to accommodate your first
choice, however, by allocating more than one choice (either
with regards to days and/or times) you will provide us with
the opportunity to find the appropriate
certified trainers/instructors dedicated to providing you with
the coaching, encouragement, guidance or positive
reinforcement you require, to help you achieve your fitness
goals in a timely manner.
In addition to seeing actual RESULTS and building endurance,
our tailored workouts will help you achieve the following:

What can I expect from Power
of Progress personal training? You will
receive personalized fitness feedback, fitness guidance and
education. Our certified trainer(s) will help you perform the
movement properly, with proper form, therefore getting the
most out of the exercise. Knowing the ins and outs of
the exercises they recommend, our trainers provide
individualized attention needed to learn how to avoid injury
and maximize the efficiency of each repetition. Trainers
design programs specifically for individual needs. Many
individuals want to lose body fat, lose weight, gain muscle or
all three. While hiring a personal trainer will help
achieve those goals, the experience provides so much more than
improved appearance. Those goals, the motivation you
receive and the way you feel, will transfer into your everyday
life.
What can I expect from Power of
Progress classes? In addition to working out
in a small group environment, you will receive personalized
fitness feedback, fitness guidance and education. All
classes are lead by a certified professional fitness trainer
that is committed to your personal success. In addition,
our programs give each person the opportunity to meet new
friends in a supportive and fun environment that makes
working-out an exciting experience, and all that more
enjoyable.
What if I am not physically
fit? Power of Progress recognizes each
person at their current fitness level. No one will be
left behind and no one will be asked to complete more than
they are capable of doing safely. Regardless of your
fitness level or ability you will be able to participate.

The Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) is a
2-page form to see if you should check with your doctor before
becoming much more physically active.
2. PARMed-X
IF
you answered YES to any of the questions on the PAR-Q
you must then download and take the PARMed-X
to a physician, and have it completed prior to attending
physical activity with Power of Progress. PARMed-X is
a 4-page physical activity-specific checklist to be used by a
physician with patients who have had positive responses to the
PAR-Q.
3. PARMed-X for Pregnancy
IF
you are pregnant, please download and take the PARMed-X for
Pregnancy to your physician/obstetrician for clearance.
The PARmed-X for Pregnancy is a 4-page guideline for health
screening prior to participation in a prenatal fitness class
or other exercise. For use by health care providers and
fitness professionals. IF you are post-natal please have
clearance from your physician for exercise prior to become
physically active.
PLEASE realize that these measures are put into place for
your health and safety. Please take the time to follow
through with physicals, we will help you with following
through on your fitness journey. Thank you for your time
and patience.
Step 4
We will call you to get some more information and then set up a free no obligation consultation to go
over your goals and discuss your health history. Please
let us know what days you would consider training at this time
should you consider personal training with us.
Step 5
Payment will be due in full upon sign-up. Your
certified trainer will have you sign a waiver at this time and
go over its contents with you.
Step 6
You are on your way to a healthier you! You will
make scheduled appointments and arrangements with your new trainer
directly. Please see our

however, your trainer may decide to work on holidays, if you
wish to work out on those days. If at any time you are unable to reach your

Step 4
We will call you to confirm your class choice, day(s) and
time(s). All forms and waivers along with payment need to
be received prior to the beginning of class.
Arrangements will be made via phone upon confirmation, either
to have all forms and payments picked up or sent by mail to
Power of Progress' address.
Step 5
You are on your way to a healthier you! If at any time you are unable to reach your
instructor for any reason, please do not hesitate in calling
